What to Consider When Looking for a UPS System

If you are not in the industry, there is a good chance that you know nothing about a UPS system or what to think about when looking to implement a new uninterruptible power supply system at your business. Size of Unit Needed

This is pretty straight forward. Some people already know the size of the UPS system they will need – given in kVA. If you do not, we are here to help!

Input/Output Voltage

It is very helpful to know the incoming voltage your equipment is receiving and the amount it will need to deliver safely to your equipment.

Hard Wired In or Line Corded/Hard Wired Out or Receptacles

This refers to how the equipment is attached to the power supply, think plug or wired more securely.

Run Time Needed

You will want to know how long it takes for your emergency backup power to kick in or for you to safely power down your equipment without losing data in the event of a power outage.

Domestic or International Applications

Knowing which country the UPS system is going to be used helps us to narrow down the options available to you.

Specialty Configurations for Medical Uses

Will the UPS system be used for medical uses; if so, there may be specialty configurations needed.
