If everyone from our area gave a single dollar, we could raise over $10,000 to fund the education of future Texas Exes.

The University Co-op Comes to Fort Worth!

George H. Mitchell, President/CEO of the

University Co-op, is pleased to announce that today, the Co-op has signed a lease for the University Co-op to come to Fort Worth and locate in The Montgomery Plaza at West 7th and Carroll Streets. (Show on Map) The opening of the Fort Worth store is scheduled for September 2010.

Plans are also under way for the Fort Worth Grand Opening Events to take place this fall on a still to be determined weekend.

The 5,500 sq. ft. store will carry men's, women's and children's Longhorn apparel and souvenirs. The store features many exclusive items found only at the Co-op. Fans of the University of Texas will also be able to fill all their Longhorn needs for home, office, party supplies and entertainment. In addition, customers will find the most diverse selection of women's and children's items anywhere in the world.

Based on the overwhelming customer response to the Dallas store that opened in August of 2009, The Co-op has been looking for a location in Tarrant County for another North Texas location. The West 7th street area is currently undergoing a renaissance and Montgomery Plaza is the pioneer in the re-development.

In addition Mr. Mitchell noted that The Co-op has a mission to meet the needs of the students, staff, faculty and alumni of the university. This Fort Worth store will allow us to continue to meet the needs for all Texas Exes and the many fans of the Longhorns in Tarrant County and throughout North Texas.

For further information and when the Fort Worth store will open, please contact Brian Jewell, VP Marketing at the above information.
