The Internet is the sales medium of the future
simply because it is a great way to get your products in front of customers that
you never dreamed of reaching before. CBI’s Trans-Port Platform, including
the integrated Virtual Terminal, allows the processing of payments by giving a
human the ability to accept credit card and/or check information over the
telephone.
Or, to significantly reduce the labor expense, payments can be taken
using an automated voice response system, also available as part of the
Trans-Port Platform, whereby the checking or credit card account information is
entered by the customer using their telephone keypad. Both methods
utilize Trans-Port either for data entry, transaction reporting, or both.
The credit card information is validated, the transaction is authorized and then settled, just as an in-person purchase is made at the point-of-sale. The checking account information is processed as an electronic transaction (ACH), which typically settle faster than paper checks. If any ACH is returned for non-sufficient funds, the AutoRecovery system will automatically re-present the items and attempt to collect them, with no effort on the part of the merchant!
